Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our branch team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and resolving routine problems in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of financial transactions, including cash handling and retail servicing interactions.
  • Lobby Management: Actively engage in lobby management, meeting and greeting customers and proactively inquiring and taking ownership to address their immediate needs.
  • Education and Training: Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities that meet their needs.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling experience.
  • Skills: Proven verbal communication skills, proven interpersonal skills, and proven ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, prolonged use of hands and fingers, and ability to lift light to heavy objects weighing 5lbs – 30 lbs.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.34 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
