About the Role:

Piedmont is seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Safety to lead our Department of Public Safety in providing effective public safety services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing patrol services, investigative services, training services, access control, badging services, parking services, and telecommunication services while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement public safety strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
  • Lead and manage a team of public safety professionals to provide exceptional service and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in Public Safety or equivalent.
  • 5 years of leadership experience in a public safety or security-related field.
  • IAHSS certification preferred.
  • ASIS certification preferred.
  • Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training preferred.
