The role of the Patient Services Representative is dynamic, adapting daily to the clinical and administrative needs of the practice. Responsibilities typically encompass supporting physicians and mid-level providers with clinical tasks and direct patient interactions, as well as assisting patients and staff with administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate scheduling for cardiac testing and invasive cardiovascular procedures with outpatient clinics.
  • Collaborate with both outpatient and inpatient services to confirm patient demographics, procedural orders, and necessary authorizations.
  • Ensure alignment between provider schedules and procedural unit schedules, verifying appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Organize and maintain patient charts, ensuring adequate office supply levels.
  • Oversee front desk operations, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all patients and provider inquiries.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a background in customer service.
  • Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • College-level education in a healthcare support field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with systems such as Meditech, Medent, and Epic is helpful.
Work Environment:
  • This position requires onsite presence.
  • Work hours typically align with standard business hours.
