Position Summary:

A District Manager plays a pivotal role in steering multiple branch leaders within their designated area, inspiring branch teams to achieve or surpass annual financial targets, including EBITDA, inventory, and sales goals. This individual must possess a thorough understanding of all facets of branch operations to effectively drive the growth of Magneto & Diesel Injector Service Inc. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about leading and motivating the team, championing customer success, and enhancing sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a strong network to attract, train, and retain talent across the district.
  • Recruit and oversee branch managers in the assigned territory.
  • Meet or exceed profitability objectives for each branch within the district.
  • Ensure exceptional customer retention through unparalleled service and support.
  • Guarantee adherence to all inventory and operational standards across the district.
  • Educate branch managers on business fundamentals through profit and loss statement analysis.
  • Maintain effective communication with branch teams and support staff.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to meet targets and promote interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Establish a regular schedule of branch visits, operational reviews, and one-on-one training sessions with branch managers.
  • Willingness to travel frequently is essential.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments such as credit, IT, HR, Operations, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Pricing to ensure compliance with company policies and provide top-tier service to customers.
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on personnel, branch performance, profitability, and other metrics as required by the Director of Operations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings with District Managers, the Director of Operations, and department heads to discuss business performance, operational status, personnel matters, key accounts, growth initiatives, and other relevant topics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple locations within a geographic district is preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and gross margin targets in a multi-unit environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage profitability effectively, showcasing strong financial and business acumen.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to providing support at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
  • Promotes a positive work environment and fosters good coworker relationships.
