This pivotal role involves providing exceptional patient care and serving as a clinical leader for the nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will assume shift responsibilities for the care delivery team, coordinating the provision of care through assigning and scheduling staff. You will also prioritize, delegate, and evaluate patient care, ensuring seamless operations on the unit.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to problem-solve system and unit-based issues, provide input into nursing staff performance appraisals, and participate in activities pertinent to the unit and hospital.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will be responsible for facilitating shared decision-making among staff, improving unit throughput, and enhancing patient satisfaction. Your ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities will be crucial in this dynamic environment.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong educational foundation, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan
  • 1-2 years of progressively more responsible experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
