Position Title: Automation Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful execution of all project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare and update monthly financial forecasts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and financial targets.
  • Manage contract operations, including coordination of meetings, project scope, scheduling, customer relations, and job cost management.
  • Evaluate project efficiency, maintaining operational expenses within industry standards and contractual requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical guidance to team members in completing project tasks.
  • Plan and delegate significant project assignments to supervisory personnel, establishing priorities for building and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with management on staffing decisions, including hiring, promotions, and terminations.
  • Advise client staff on construction-related issues and challenges.
  • Coordinate with project coordinators for procurement of materials, supplies, and services.
  • Maintain communication with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors involved in new or renovation projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for project management and production.
  • Implement safety protocols in collaboration with the Safety Director, ensuring compliance with training and safety procedures.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to administrative staff for project correspondence and documentation control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC, Controls, and Plumbing Project Management.
  • Experience managing large retrofit projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in proposal writing, scheduling, and contractor coordination, with a strong understanding of construction operations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage all aspects of new or renovation projects effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with clients to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • Skilled in working with diverse teams and management systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning proprietary systems and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities.
