- Handle insurance and medical forms, including prior authorizations and referrals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collect co-pays and process payments for services rendered.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Provide empathetic support and address patient concerns.
- Share pertinent patient information with medical providers and team members.
- Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Register new patients and collect necessary information.
- Provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Collaborate with billing and coding specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
- Completion of a medical assisting program from an accredited institution - Preferred
- 6 months experience working as a Medical Assistant or front desk work - Preferred
