Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Handle insurance and medical forms, including prior authorizations and referrals.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, medical providers, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Collect co-pays and process payments for services rendered.
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
    • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
    • Provide empathetic support and address patient concerns.
    • Share pertinent patient information with medical providers and team members.
  • Patient Interaction:
    • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Register new patients and collect necessary information.
    • Provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
    • Collaborate with billing and coding specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
  • Completion of a medical assisting program from an accredited institution - Preferred
  • 6 months experience working as a Medical Assistant or front desk work - Preferred
