Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Center City District. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the operations of our parks and facilities, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance of all CCD assets, including parks, cafes, and event spaces.
  • Monitor and survey facilities to ensure they meet the highest standards of maintenance and upkeep.
  • Assist the Park Operations Director with the preparation of monthly reports and the management of onsite contractors.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of CCD field personnel, ensuring the proper use and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Train and develop full-time technicians and part-time event staff.
  • Responsible for supervising contracted work and staff in the absence of the Parks Operations manager and Director of Park Operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise events in the absence of the Events Logistics manager.
  • Create a secure, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
  • Assist with deliveries and oversee the storage and handling of in-house materials and parts inventory.
  • Respond to emergency situations during the shift.
  • Work with private contractors to monitor and control rodent issues at CCD parks and facilities.
  • Oversee and schedule maintenance of CCD park equipment.
  • Work independently on projects assigned as needed.
  • Assist in tracking expenditures and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with safe working practices and assist with on-site safety inspections.
  • Manage contracts and contractors to support assigned duties and develop and maintain processes that assure compliance to contracts.
  • Assist in planning and preparing long and short-term maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate the removal of snow and ice with CCD vendors during the shift, as directed by the Park Operations Director.
  • Work with private property owners and others, as needed, and in conjunction with other Public Spaces team members on fee-for-service projects.
  • Assist in developing budget projections for the department.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years related professional experience in facilities management.
  • Experience in all aspects of maintenance required.
  • Carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience is a plus.
  • The ability to operate aerial lift, forklift, and electric pallet jacks, if needed (certification required).
  • The ability to operate assigned work vehicle (certification required).
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing required in the state of residency.
