Job Overview

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role within our Maintenance division. Their expertise, hands-on experience, innovative thinking, and analytical skills are essential to ensure that the aircraft remain in a condition that is both airworthy and ready for dispatch at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training regarding the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of the fuel and hydrazine systems along with their related components for F-16 aircraft.
  • Deliver training, support, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the fuel and hydrazine systems at various maintenance levels including organizational, intermediate, and extended intermediate.
  • Identify fuel system issues and execute corrective measures prior to flight to guarantee safe operation once airborne.
  • Remove, repair, inspect, install, and modify aircraft fuel systems, which encompass integral fuel and water cell tanks, bladder cells, and external tanks.
  • Conduct cleaning of fuel cells and tanks, inspecting for foreign objects, corrosion, deterioration, and fungal growth.
  • Ensure that all work performed on any aircraft or component adheres to:
    • Applicable airworthiness standards and OEM guidelines.
    • Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Regulatory safety standards.
  • Verify that all replacement parts are inspected, eligible, and properly certified before installation.
  • Ensure that removed components are correctly tagged and directed to quarantine.
  • Execute maintenance, repair, modification, and inspection of company aircraft as outlined in the company maintenance operations manual.
  • Complete and certify work reports for all tasks performed on the aircraft.
  • Adhere to company procedures as specified in the maintenance operations manual while employing safe work practices.
  • Perform both line and heavy maintenance activities in accordance with operational standards.
  • Conduct Independent Checks when authorized as per company policies and procedures.
  • Carry out Receiving Inspections when authorized, in line with company policies and procedures.
  • As an employee, you are accountable for:

    • Following safe work practices and procedures, utilizing safeguards and personal protective equipment as necessary.
    • Reporting any hazards or potential safety risks to a supervisor immediately.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Capable of working independently and completing assignments within the parameters of provided instructions, established routines, and accepted standards.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success in handling complex tasks requiring significant judgment, initiative, and specialized technical knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Preferred: FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license/certification.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) certification is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate degree is strongly preferred; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct Fuels Maintenance experience and training on F-16 aircraft is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, walk, and hear. The employee may occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is expected to work in both office and outdoor environments. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibrations and is often exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions. The employee may occasionally work in high or precarious places and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical hazards. The noise level can be very loud at times.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Fluency in English is required.
