POSITION SUMMARY:
The Technicians play a crucial role within our Maintenance division. Their extensive experience, technical knowledge, and innovative problem-solving capabilities are essential for maintaining aircraft in a fully operational and ready-to-fly state.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct line maintenance, including aircraft and engine servicing, pre-flight and post-flight inspections, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Examine jet engine components such as compressor and turbine blades for any signs of damage or wear using advanced inspection tools.
- Utilize specialized testing equipment for engine diagnostics and performance assessments.
- Diagnose engine system issues; disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble aircraft and engine parts as necessary.
- Implement engine rigging procedures using appropriate testing devices.
- Adhere to all relevant technical documentation and company policies while participating in training programs to enhance skills and career growth.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and maintenance manuals accurately.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment by reporting hazards and following safety protocols.
- Document all maintenance activities in the Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS).
- Request necessary materials and parts through the ERKS and collaborate with procurement for inventory management.
- Engage in risk assessment and safety improvement initiatives specific to the site.
- Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated success in handling complex tasks requiring significant judgment and specialized knowledge.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite.
- Capable of working under pressure while delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks following established guidelines.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Preferred FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant (A&P) certification.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Propulsion Maintenance, specifically with the F100-PW-220 Engine.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees must have good vision and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to mechanical parts and extreme temperatures.
Employees must be able to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA and other relevant standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Selected candidates may undergo a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
- Travel may be required for both domestic and international assignments.
