Software Development Engineer, Cloud Scalability

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Scalability Engineer to join our team at Amazon Services LLC. As a Cloud Scalability Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building large-scale systems that can handle immense traffic and scale quickly to meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable systems that can handle high traffic and scale quickly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features
- Develop and maintain high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical issues
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Distributed systems, networking design, and implementation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience mentoring junior software development engineers and driving engineering excellence

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
