We are looking for a Conflict Resolution Specialist to join our team at Matura Farrington. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional visits to the office. The specialist will play a crucial role in managing conflict searches through both internal and external research databases. This includes gathering company data from various sources, utilizing proprietary databases, and analyzing conflict outcomes while effectively communicating significant findings to our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess intake requests to ensure a clear understanding of the matter for both new and existing clients.
  • Perform research on new intake requests against the firm's conflict database and additional resources.
  • Input, search, and analyze conflict data in accordance with established firm policies and procedures.
  • Conduct external research to establish corporate structures and management profiles.
  • Ensure that all conflict reports are thorough, consistent, and accurate, adhering to the firm's standards for conflict of interest searches.
  • Follow up on conflict matters with partners, the Intake/Conflicts Manager, and other relevant personnel.
  • Carry out data analysis, identify potential issues, and notify the requesting attorney or appropriate party as necessary.
  • Evaluate conflict reports and resolve potential conflicts in line with firm policies.
  • Identify and escalate unresolved conflicts to the Intake/Conflicts Manager or Office of General Counsel.
  • Assist the department with various research and other requests as assigned.
  • Support the training and development of fellow Conflict Analysts and/or Conflicts Clerks.
  • Ensure the efficient and timely processing of conflict requests.
  • Maintain accuracy in all searching and reporting tasks.
  • Contribute to enhancements in processes, procedures, and technology to optimize customer service and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and team members to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issues.

  • Flexible regarding work hours and scheduling.
  • Discreet in handling confidential information.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the department.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in conflict analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMS/Aderant, Dun & Bradstreet, and Hoovers is advantageous.
