Internship Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and systematic intern to become a part of our team. The selected candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the timely execution of pilot-scale evaluations of separation technologies, aligned with project timelines funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization while adhering to established company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

As an intern, you will engage in research focused on separation materials and technologies pertinent to clean energy solutions. Your work will primarily involve pilot-scale assessments of adsorption and/or membrane-based separation methodologies. This research will be conducted within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Core responsibilities may encompass:

  • Conducting separation experiments.
  • Operating laboratory apparatus.
  • Performing analytical evaluations.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess some of the following qualifications and skills:

  • Familiarity with basic wet chemistry techniques.
  • Experience with analytical chemistry tools (chromatographic and/or spectroscopic methods).
  • Understanding of physical and chemical processes, particularly in separations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Educational Background and Experience

  • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials engineering, or related fields.
  • A self-motivated individual with a keen interest in learning.
  • Process-oriented with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging across various levels and functions.
  • A proactive team player willing to contribute to a dynamic and agile team environment.

Work Environment

This internship will be conducted onsite at a designated research facility. Candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation to fulfill their responsibilities.
