Position Summary:

This role is designed to enhance occupational health, concentrating on maintaining employee fitness for duty through injury prevention, wellness initiatives, case management, and process enhancements that significantly influence the performance of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) while ensuring alignment with business strategies and operational needs.

This position is accountable for executing a regional occupational health strategy and framework to align the health approach within the geographical area of Sysco's operations.


Primary Responsibilities:


• Drive effective medical case management to reduce lost time frequency of Workers' Compensation claims, focusing on the Transitional Duty Program.
• Build relationships with external healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to manage claim costs.
• Develop, implement, and assess strategies to provide timely triage and first aid support within the workplace to minimize claim exposure.
• Facilitate site First Responder Teams within the region to ensure quick access to first aid for workplace injuries.
• Support the timely completion of Quarterly DOT Random Testing.
• Ensure compliance with the OSHA Log and all related documentation.
• Cultivate effective management relationships and communication within the region to align priorities with EHS strategic goals.
• Collaborate and support EHS to report and drive overall KPIs to demonstrate the impact of Occupational Health services.
• Support the implementation of occupational programs at the regional level, including disaster response and health and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain all health information in a confidential, HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Compile and submit injury/accident reports as required to monitor trends.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education Required:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience Required:
• 2 years of Nursing experience in an occupational health setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management.
• Proven ability to drive performance to achieve goals.

Experience Preferred:
• Work experience in a transportation, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in Safety and Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
• Case Management in Workers' Compensation.

Licenses/Certifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse in State of Residence. License must be active and unencumbered.

• Licensed Registered Nurse in States within the area of application or ability to submit application within 30 days of hire. License(s) must be active and unencumbered.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN or COHN-S) preferred.
• Certification in Case Management (ABOHN or CCMC) preferred.

• Ability to organize and manage a complex workload and projects in a fast-paced environment.
