At Great Southern Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk II to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk II, you will be responsible for performing routine accounting functions, including general ledger and DDA account review and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile and balance daily entries into the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile and balance various Demand Deposit Accounts and other applicable accounts, while maintaining accurate and organized records.
- Verify entries performed by banking center personnel, including money orders, GL account postings, and subsidiary reconciliations.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 12-18 months of related experience and/or education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic experience with desktop/laptop computer, basic operating systems, and specialized software systems.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
The Accounting Clerk II will work in a fast-paced banking environment, with frequent interactions with customers and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
