Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various client sites. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.Perform on-site troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues to identify malfunctions and implement necessary repairs, utilizing visual inspections and appropriate testing equipment.
Document findings and provide corrective recommendations to clients, including written notifications of any safety concerns. Communicate with the local service office regarding repair actions and customer intentions.Engage with clients to discuss repair and safety issues, offering recommendations to enhance their material handling processes.Complete and submit electronic documentation using company digital tools, ensuring customer acceptance and signatures are obtained.Generate sales leads during service visits and report them to the service office, adhering to established protocols.Stay informed about OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other relevant industry codes and regulations, refreshing knowledge as necessary.
Accurately complete service reports and other required documentation, submitting them promptly in accordance with company guidelines.Maintain effective communication with the service office and Planner, following established practices.Ensure all company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets are maintained in safe working order, promptly reporting any deficiencies.Keep the service vehicle stocked with necessary forms, literature, and materials, documenting usage or sales to clients.Adhere to all safety protocols, including those set by clients.
Maintain company vehicle and uniforms in good condition.Participate in monthly safety meetings.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education: Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or a related field, or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair. Previous experience with cranes is advantageous but not mandatory.

Other Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Willingness to work at heights and travel as needed is essential.

Salary: $18 - $55 per hour, based on skills, geographic location, internal equity, market analysis, relevant experience, and technical assessment scores.

Company Vehicle: Service Technicians are provided with a work truck and a gas card for business use, subject to passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs, lift up to 50 lbs daily, and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to lift 100 lbs on rare occasions. This role involves frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, and overhead reaching, with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and heights.
