Our service technicians are vital to our operations, working in a safety-oriented environment while addressing mechanical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at various customer sites. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues to identify malfunctions and execute necessary repairs using appropriate testing methods and equipment.
- Document findings and provide corrective recommendations to clients, including issuing written safety notifications for any identified safety concerns.
- Engage with customers regarding repair and safety matters, offering recommendations to enhance their material handling processes.
- Utilize established digital tools to complete service documentation, ensuring customer approval and signature.
- Generate sales leads during service visits and communicate findings to the service office.
- Stay informed on OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other relevant industry regulations, refreshing knowledge as needed.
- Complete service reports and related documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to company guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication with the service office and planner, following established protocols.
- Ensure all company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets are maintained in safe and functional condition.
- Manage inventory and supplies within the service vehicle, documenting usage or sales.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those set by clients.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or a related field, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair is required. Experience with cranes is advantageous.
Other Requirements: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. Candidates must be willing to work at heights and be available for on-call duties, as well as travel as needed.
Compensation: $18 - $55 per hour, based on skills, location, experience, and other relevant factors.
