Position Overview:
As a Loss Control Consultant in the realm of Commercial Insurance, you will operate as an independent contractor, contributing to our esteemed services at EXL.

EXL Risk Control stands out as a premier provider of risk evaluations and loss prevention surveys tailored for commercial insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site evaluations and generate comprehensive risk assessment reports for clients in the insurance sector.
• Oversee project assignments, coordinate client meetings within your designated area, and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
• Engage in specialized projects or perform intricate risk assessments utilizing your expertise and professional qualifications.
• Evaluate risks across various commercial insurance sectors, including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.
Consultant Requirements:
• Proficient in using a Windows-based PC equipped with an image/document scanner.
• Access to a digital camera and high-speed internet.
• Possess measuring tools such as a laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel.
• Reliable transportation and appropriate insurance coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years in Risk Control Consulting.
• Experience with major insurance carriers or national brokerage firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related physical sciences.
• Professional designations such as CSP or ARM are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Background in Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control, Underwriting, Claims Adjusting, inspections, and Fire and Life Safety assessments is preferred.
