About the Role

The Sales Director at MCR Hotels is a key member of our hotel sales team, responsible for driving revenue growth and maximizing occupancy across our portfolio of premium-branded hotels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve optimal occupancy and revenue growth.
  • Lead the sales team to maximize total revenues and control expenses, meeting and exceeding hotel profitability objectives.
  • Oversee the operations of the hotel sales department, including direct sales, follow-up, sales administration, hiring, training, managing, and coaching.
  • Supervise the sales team and execute operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
  • Proactively develop action plans, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations, representing the hotel on site visits, trade shows, and sales calls.
  • Attend meetings and functions required by the hotel or management, promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working climate.
Requirements
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Sales experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others and negotiate.
  • Thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • Ability to take initiative, succeed under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Desire to serve all guests.
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state.

  • Bachelor's Degree or certification in Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Professionally well-connected in the local market.
