Role Overview

The Verizon Consumer Group is in search of a dedicated SEO Specialist to enhance our vibrant team. This position focuses on optimizing user experiences for our consumer home internet services through comprehensive on-page, technical, and off-page SEO strategies. A profound knowledge of search engine optimization is essential, along with the ability to collaborate across various marketing, design, and development teams to prioritize search in our website strategy. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven marketer, adept at supporting the development and execution of extensive strategic initiatives, contributing to the digital evolution of our innovative brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing cohesive and engaging SEO strategies that inform content creation and site development processes, including site audits, linking strategies, and performance analysis.
  • Delivering actionable insights for site enhancements based on data analysis and competitive assessments.
  • Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of organic and marketing strategies.
  • Conducting keyword research and optimizing key marketing pages, articles, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Effectively communicating strategic objectives to internal stakeholders and collaborating across various business units.
  • Overseeing product and project launches, including ticket creation, quality assurance, and management of multiple fast-paced initiatives.
  • Establishing and promoting SEO best practices and standards across departments, while enhancing collaboration with paid search teams for integrated search strategies.
  • Maintaining an expert-level understanding of industry trends, guidelines, and algorithm updates, including advancements in AI and content optimization.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in SEO.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple SEO projects and data analysis simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, SEMRush, and others.
  • Ability to articulate the impact of Search, Branding, Content, and Information Architecture on key performance indicators.
  • Experience in analyzing both organic and paid search metrics.

Preferred:

  • Experience in marketing, agency, or consultative services related to SEO.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

This hybrid role offers a defined work location, combining remote work with a set number of office days each month.
