Position Overview:
The Culinary Preparation Associate plays a vital role in supporting chefs, cooks, or food service supervisors by preparing essential ingredients for various culinary creations and executing additional food preparation and service tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
The Culinary Preparation Associate is expected to prepare food in accordance with established recipes and production standards while strictly following food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols. Responsibilities may differ based on specific client needs and operational requirements.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role is set at $16.00.

Core Duties Include:

  • Preparing a diverse range of food items following production standards and standardized recipes.
  • Organizing the workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items as required.
  • Utilizing various utensils safely, including knives.
  • Arranging, garnishing, and portioning food in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Storing food properly by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, clients, and colleagues.
  • Complying with safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensuring the security of company resources.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of various food preparation techniques, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations.
  • The ability to obtain necessary food safety certification.
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements:
This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
