Hearth Product Testing Specialist

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek, a prominent provider of quality assurance and safety solutions for globally recognized brands, is seeking a Hearth Product Testing Specialist to join our Building and Construction division. This role presents an excellent opportunity to advance a dynamic career in Building & Construction product evaluation.

About the Building & Construction Team

The Building & Construction team offers assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services, alongside building science solutions, to ensure Total Quality Assurance within the built environment. Our team provides the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry with comprehensive capabilities both in laboratory settings and on-site.

Building Products Testing Solutions

From compliance with regulations to performance evaluations and product certifications, our dedication lies in establishing enduring partnerships with our clients. We empower them to engage with a single source to achieve the market access success their products require.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish test setups
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment and facilities
  • Prepare samples for testing
  • Collect and document test data in alignment with established standards
  • Analyze test data and perform routine calculations
  • Draft technical reports as necessary
  • Compile and extract engineering data
  • Organize project files to comply with operational procedures
  • Provide recommendations on technical matters regarding test standards
  • Engage with clients and management effectively
  • Undertake additional tasks as required
Qualifications for Success:
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in hearth products and gas heating
  • Proficiency in using basic shop equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical information clearly
  • Capability to follow simple instructions with common-sense understanding
  • Experience managing standardized situations with minimal variables
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to perform various tasks such as sitting, standing, crouching, bending, climbing, and crawling as needed
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable driving record
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs
