POSITION SUMMARY:
Join a dynamic team at Altria Client Services Inc. as a Senior Vapor Product Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the development and specification of innovative vapor products that enhance our esteemed portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and upholding product specifications, requirements, and testing methodologies that integrate Quality by Design (QbD) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Executing assigned engineering tasks in mechanical and/or electrical domains.
  • Collaborating with Operations and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing changes related to Direct Material suppliers.
  • Creating, validating, and executing test plans to assess system and component performance.
  • Standardizing engineering test plans to validate both new and existing products within a regulated framework.
  • Engaging in effective communication and collaboration with fellow engineers, management, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Providing technical expertise on cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and improvement goals.
  • Preparing and delivering comprehensive engineering presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation, review, and support of Intellectual Property documentation.
  • Coordinating studies, data collection, and reports necessary for regulatory submissions for vapor products.
  • Maintaining documentation related to Design of Experiments (DOE), material qualifications, and final evaluations for vapor products.
  • Supporting manufacturing scale-up processes and collaborating with contract manufacturers for DFM optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or a related discipline).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a regulated environment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to complete cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in transitioning product designs from prototype to commercial scale.
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing organizations is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of statistical methods and experience with Design of Experiments (DOE); knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Minitab, QbD, QMS, and SAP being advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and present updates to project stakeholders.
