Position Summary

Role Objective:

The Aftermarket Parts Sales Consultant is tasked with enhancing aftermarket sales, thereby contributing to the sustained growth of Power Equipment's revenue through the sale of aftermarket components, pre-owned parts, attachments, and accessories as directed by the Corporate Product Support Manager.

Reporting Structure:

The Aftermarket Parts Sales Consultant will report directly to the Corporate Product Support Manager at Power Equipment Co. Daily interactions will occur with branch parts/service managers and CSR/PSR as necessary to assist in identifying aftermarket parts solutions, providing quotes, and communicating order statuses along with vendor feedback.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify aftermarket parts suppliers utilized by each branch operation.
  • Document all parts not currently in inventory at each branch.
  • Maintain a comprehensive supplier database including contacts and product offerings.
  • Assist parts managers, parts counter staff, and CSR/PSR in identifying and quoting aftermarket parts.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Parts Inventory Specialist to recommend aftermarket sources for potential consolidated purchasing arrangements.
  • Leverage Allied Information Network to source aftermarket and used parts effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aftermarket sales, field sales, service support, customer service, or parts management is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong customer relations, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills are essential.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to meet objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, physical examination, and drug screening.
