Minimum Qualifications

12 units in Child Development (including 3 units in infant studies) are required. Please refrain from applying if you do not meet these educational criteria.

Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience and bilingual skills (Spanish).

Job Requirements

- A genuine commitment to supporting all families.
- Strong ability to connect and communicate effectively with children and their parents.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of developmental milestones appropriate for the age group.
- Engagement in ongoing educational opportunities related to child development, safety, and other pertinent areas.
- Familiarity with child protection regulations.
- Current CPR and first-aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment). Must be EMSA certified.
- Availability for varied shifts during operational hours, Monday through Friday.

Complete the Mandated Reporter training through Community Care Licensing (available online) and provide the certificate to administration within one week of employment. This training is offered at no cost.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish a nurturing, accepting, and stable relationship with infants, fostering connections between infants and adults, including parents and caregivers.
- Engage frequently with infants, demonstrating respect and affection through smiles and verbal interactions throughout the day.
- Treat all children with fairness and equality.
- Be attentive to each child's unique temperament and developmental stage.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
