Position Overview:

Role: SAP Logistics Management Specialist (SAP S4 WM/ EWM)

Location: Remote with occasional travel as needed

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with benefits (W2 only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate business blueprinting sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct As-Is To-Be discussions and map out business process flows.
  • Collect requirements from the Warehouse & Shipping division, analyze them, and propose solutions based on industry best practices.
  • Configure, develop, and test modifications in SAP to meet all requirements. Oversee the overall design and solutions for SAP WM / SAP S/4 HANA EWM and its integration with other modules.
  • Act as the primary contact for configurations, development, and data migration within WM and EWM modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional modules including Material Management, Quality Management, Production Planning, and Sales & Distribution.
  • Document and train teams on newly implemented processes.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to changes in timelines and project sequences.
  • Develop and execute testing plans for SAP WM and EWM configurations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in SAP.
  • Minimum of 2 end-to-end project implementations with hands-on configuration experience in SAP WM.
  • Minimum of 2 end-to-end project implementations with hands-on configuration experience in SAP EWM.
  • Experience in at least one project where SAP interfaced with an External WMS system.
  • Experience with 3PL integration to create interfaces between SAP and WMS systems via Idocs and API.
  • Familiarity with ALE/EDI/IDOC field mapping for data transmission from SAP to External WMS systems.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution center managing diverse products.
  • Expertise in Cartonization, Quality Inspection Engines, Quantity classifications, and Warehouse order optimization rules.
  • Solid understanding of SAP EWM Master Data integrations, Inbound, Outbound, Internal Movements, Cycle counting, and Kitting.
  • Experience integrating with shop floor orders and kitting orders.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of WM and EWM processes, including Warehouse master data and organizational structure setup.
  • Experience with complex storage types, put away, and stock removal strategies.
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound processes in WM and EWM.
  • Familiarity with internal warehouse processes such as replenishment, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
  • Hands-on experience with cross-process settings and exception handling in EWM.
  • Experience with Post Processing Framework for standard and custom definitions.
  • Knowledge of batch management, serial management, and handling unit management in SAP WM.
  • Understanding of mobile and RF devices with RF configuration and queue management.
  • Experience in developing WM reports and monitoring warehouse activities.
