About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at Marriott Schaumburg. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional banquet events that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Execution: Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences, and ensure that every detail is taken care of to deliver a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of banquet staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to provide world-class service to our guests.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the banquet area, including managing event space set-up, purchasing supplies, and setting staffing levels to ensure that every event runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that every event meets our high standards, and make adjustments as needed to improve our processes and procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns, and ensuring that they have a positive experience with our hotel.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospitality role, preferably in a banquet or event services capacity.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in hospitality management preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
