Job Description

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented students to participate in our College Internship Program. As a Metro College Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transit operations, working alongside experienced professionals to solve real-world problems and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the compilation, review, and analysis of data to support transit operations
  • Conduct research and assist in the preparation of management, operations, technical, and administrative reports
  • Develop and present reports, presentations, and other materials to support transit operations
  • Participate in training sessions and attend meetings to gain exposure to transit functions
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in a discipline related to transit operations
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Verification of education and experience
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Medical examination
