Job Responsibilities

The Executive Area Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and implementing a strategic plan for the area and business unit that promotes growth and aligns with corporate goals
  • Developing and mentoring employees to ensure they have the necessary skills for success and providing opportunities for stretch assignments and leadership development
  • Collaborating with group functional leadership to develop best practices and personnel inside the business unit
  • Participating in bid reviews to ensure estimate accuracy, risk assessment, and opportunity analysis is consistent with overall group expectations
  • Championing growth initiatives in the area, including pro-forma and market analysis for acquisitions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience in heavy civil, highway, or construction management
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in construction operations, including knowledge of technology, equipment, methods, company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
