Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and professional Community Manager to join our team at Guardian Management. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our multifamily properties, enforcing company policies and procedures, and maintaining excellent customer service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of other property staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Develop and implement effective property management strategies to maximize efficiency, owner satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Manage budgets, review and analyze operations, and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Coordinate leasing efforts, including reviewing tenant billings, analyzing lease clauses, and preparing vacancy reports.
  • Collect delinquent accounts and communicate with the accounting department to ensure accuracy of rent roll and accounts receivable.
  • Work with the Portfolio Manager to identify, engage, and supervise property vendors.
  • Approve invoices for goods and services required to maintain the property's upkeep.
  • Liaise with corporate departments to provide a team approach to property management.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of experience managing a multifamily community.
  • At least one year of working in affordable housing or a relevant industry.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills and basic understanding of property budgets and financial accounting.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
