Job Description

Guardian Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Community Manager to join our team at The Bria, a 116-unit affordable apartment community in Portland, OR.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience managing an affordable multifamily property and possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. They will be responsible for ensuring the property meets all ownership goals and objectives, enforcing Guardian Management policies and procedures, and adhering to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws at all times.

The Senior Community Manager will work closely with the Portfolio Manager to develop and maintain an annual budget, analyze and report monthly financial statements, and recommend corrective actions to maximize efficiency and profitability. They will also be responsible for coordinating collection and documentation of all revenues, administering leasing efforts, and identifying leasing prospects.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of property management duties and operations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment. They will be a team player who is committed to providing outstanding customer service to residents and maintaining excellent curb appeal.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all property operations in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Develop and maintain an annual budget and analyze monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate collection and documentation of all revenues
  • Administer leasing efforts and identify leasing prospects
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of other property staff
  • Develop, hire, discharge, evaluate performance, coach, and discipline staff
  • Accurately record time worked and adhere to time-keeping guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Portfolio Manager
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years of experience managing an affordable multifamily property
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical skills and basic understanding of property budgets and financial accounting
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
