We are seeking a skilled Forensic Engineer, PE to join our team as a home-based position in the Newark, New Jersey metropolitan area.

STEPHENS Engineering Consultants, Inc. is a respected national forensic engineering company with our corporate office located outside of Houston, Texas. Our experienced engineers provide a wide range of expertise to our clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and perform forensic (investigative) evaluations on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings for various types of damage, including storm-related issues, moisture intrusion, impact damage, foundation settlement, construction defects, and more.
  • Electrical and mechanical engineers will also conduct forensic evaluations on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Prepare detailed, unbiased written reports of findings based on field inspections and research, adhering to our company's standards and guidelines.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, the engineering team, and the home office through effective communication and timely updates.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • An active professional engineer (PE) license in the state of employment or the ability to become licensed within two months.
  • NCEES Record preferred.
  • A valid driver's license without travel time restrictions and insurance eligibility by the company for vehicle use.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary, with an estimated annual compensation range of $85,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a yearly bonus, this position also includes overtime pay during periods of heavy workload.
