Forensic Engineer, PE Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Engineer to join our team at Stephens Engineering Consultants, Inc.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering and be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, are comfortable with travel, and have excellent communication skills.

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience, plus overtime and a yearly bonus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize forensic investigations, conducting site evaluations, and analyzing data to determine causes of damage or failure.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and provide expert opinions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations, summarizing findings and recommendations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of employment or ability to obtain within two months.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirements:

  • This is a home-based position, with frequent travel required to client sites throughout the surrounding states.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
