Key Responsibilities:
1. Support production processes to monitor and enhance internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
2. Contribute to the optimization of manufacturing processes within our wire production area.
3. Collaborate with internal program managers and external clients to gain a thorough understanding of new products and resolve quality concerns.
4. Work alongside Engineering Technicians and production teams to refine and improve manufacturing workflows in a LEAN environment.
5. Gain knowledge of operational aspects related to both new and existing machinery.
6. Partner with fellow Engineers to establish strategic processing objectives and integrate them into value streams.
7. Develop expertise in the processing of nitinol materials.
8. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring all safety measures are effectively implemented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree in a related field is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Strong mechanical skills, mathematical proficiency, and innovative thinking.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to engage directly with manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices during the development phase to anticipate production needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly in a technical setting.
- Experience with nitinol processing and relevant machinery is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Minitab and Design of Experiments is a plus.
