Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Financial Operations in our Bursar Office. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of financial systems, managing cash receipt and accounts receivable processes, and supervising a team of staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of financial systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  • Manage cash receipt and accounts receivable processes, including reconciliations and collections.
  • Supervise a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and evaluation to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Develop and recommend annual operating budgets for the Bursar Office.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Financial Aid and the Registrar, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Respond to student and parent inquiries regarding tuition and fee statements and general financial aid.
  • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of 1098-Ts to students for use in preparing tax returns.
  • Assist with audit requirements and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Finance.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, banking, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, including supervising staff.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, including Colleague, Datatel, and Touchnet.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse workplace.
