Security Operations Support Specialist

Overview:
This team plays a vital role in various security functions within the Security Department.
Responsibilities include managing records, overseeing data management and maintenance, and handling badging, visitor access, and administrative tasks.
The Security Department is tasked with overseeing badging, security protocols, data management, records oversight, and administrative services across all security functions.

Schedule:
9-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break. Fridays are 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM, with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in essential software applications, including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook).
The candidate must be capable of learning specialized software applications, such as the Defense Travel System (DTS), Defense Information Security System (DISS), NAVAIR SharePoint, Visitor Control System (VCS), Foreign Visit System (FVS), Communications Security (COMSEC) software, and Restricted Area Badging System (RABS).
The candidate will implement and manage lock/key control measures for the offices and facilities they support. They will ensure that keys are stored securely and conduct an annual inventory of all keys.
As part of a team, the candidate will perform inspections of secure rooms to verify that media and documents are appropriately marked; motion detectors are functional; proper locks are installed on doors; and alarms are operational. Additionally, they will ensure that Security Container Information (SF700), Security Container Check Sheet (SF 702), and Activity Security Checklist/End of Day form (SF701) are utilized effectively.
The candidate will assist in testing the Intrusion Detection System (IDS). A technical aptitude and familiarity with electronic systems are preferred, though specific experience is not mandatory.

Required Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year in Administrative Support
Possession of a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Desired Qualifications:
Experience as Civil Service or uniformed personnel from USCG or USMC currently serving in roles such as auditors, CAMs, or clerks.
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
Willingness to consider candidates with administrative experience for training opportunities.
