Key Responsibilities
  • Role Summary
    • The Site Program Security Assistant (PSA) Lead will deliver contractor security and program assistance to the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO). The PSA Lead should possess expertise in various security disciplines, including Personnel, Physical, Logistical, Information Assurance, and Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA), in accordance with DoD Manual guidelines. Experience in overseeing contractor personnel in their daily tasks is essential.
  • Core Duties
    • PROGRAM SECURITY ASSISTANT TASKS
      • Review and document feedback on a range of security documents, including SOPs, OPSEC plans, and Security Test Plans.
      • Ensure that facility folders (both electronic and hard copy) contain all necessary documentation, such as accreditation letters and System Security Plans.
      • Verify that personnel folders are complete with required documents, including approved Program Access Requests and training records.
      • Assist with facility Site Assist Visits and compliance inspections, ensuring thorough and accurate self-inspections.
      • Conduct security inquiries and document findings to mitigate future occurrences, providing independent recommendations.
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
      • Manage a visitor control and badging system that complies with various security requirements.
      • Prepare and maintain courier credentials for the Program Office.
      • Act as the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and conduct inventories of controlled materials.
      • Provide security test support, including the creation of test plans and OPSEC plans.
      • Be prepared for occasional domestic travel to fulfill security requirements.
      • Assess and implement security policies to protect classified information.
      • Support Document Control Officer (DCO) and Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) roles as needed.
    • SITE LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Maintain oversight authority for contract employees as a Site Lead.
      • Provide input on personnel evaluations and ensure effective communication regarding site personnel.
      • Document and track work absences and ensure coordination with relevant parties.
      • Provide daily oversight to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
      • Keep management informed of ongoing issues related to site personnel and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Must obtain the DAU Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of hire.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of four years in a DoD Security environment (Military, Government Civilian, or DoD contractor).
  • Preferred Experience
    • Two years in a specialized classified environment.
    • Familiarity with security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders.
  • Security Clearance
    • This position requires U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
