Position Overview

  • Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
    Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance, with the most recent investigation completed within the last six years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Role Functions:
    • The Site Program Security Assistant (PSA) Lead will deliver contractor security and program support to the Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO). The PSA Lead should demonstrate expertise in key security disciplines, including Personnel, Physical, Logistical, Information Assurance, and Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA), in accordance with DoD guidelines. Experience in supervising contractor personnel in their daily tasks is essential.
  • Core Duties:
    • PROGRAM SECURITY ASSISTANT FUNCTIONS
      • Review and document feedback on various security documents, including SOPs, OPSEC plans, and Security Test Plans.
      • Ensure that facility folders contain all necessary documentation, such as accreditation letters and security plans.
      • Maintain personnel folders with required documents, including approved Program Access Requests and training records.
      • Assist with facility Site Assist Visits and compliance inspections, ensuring thorough and documented self-inspections.
      • Conduct security inquiries, documenting findings and recommendations to mitigate future incidents.
      • Develop and implement a comprehensive Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
      • Manage a visitor control and badging system that meets various security requirements.
      • Prepare and maintain courier credentials for the Program Office.
      • Fulfill responsibilities as the Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and conduct inventories of controlled materials.
      • Provide extensive security test support, including the creation of test plans and security objectives.
      • Occasionally travel domestically to support security requirements.
      • Assess and implement security policies to protect classified information.
      • Support Document Control Officer (DCO) and Security Administrative Assistant (SAA) roles as needed.
    • SITE LEAD FUNCTIONS:
      • Site Lead must have oversight authority for contract employees.
      • Provide input on personnel evaluations and ensure proper documentation of evaluations and counseling records.
      • Ensure communication regarding site personnel is routed appropriately for situational awareness.
      • Maintain knowledge of corporate policies and provide initial approval for time-off requests.
      • Document and track work absences and maintain coordination with relevant parties.
      • Provide updated schedules of subcontractor working hours to the Contract PM.
      • Oversee daily operations of assigned contract personnel to ensure compliance with requirements.
      • Keep the Contract PM informed of ongoing issues related to site personnel and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
  • Education/Certifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Must obtain the DAU Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of hire.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of four years in a DoD Security environment (Military, Government Civilian, or DoD contractor).
  • Desired Experience:
    • Two years of experience in a specialized classified environment is preferred.
    • Familiarity with security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders.
  • Security Clearance:
    • U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance are required.
