Security Operations Coordinator

DT Professional Services is in search of a Security Operations Coordinator to manage security and facility-related functions. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations align with both corporate and governmental standards, particularly for Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the Facilities Security Officer (FSO) to oversee daily activities, focusing on the implementation of security protocols while ensuring that the facility meets the operational needs of employees and visitors alike. This position presents a unique opportunity to enhance the safety and productivity of our work environment. Experience in this field is advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main liaison with governmental program authorities regarding technical and project-related matters.
- Supervise contractor adherence to contract specifications.
- Oversee the acquisition and management of resources for projects.
- Assist in maintaining security clearances using DISS and NBIS for facility-level requirements, including processing personnel security clearances and visit requests.
- Support the submission of Electronic Applications (eApp) in both digital and physical formats.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of security training and briefings as directed by the FSO, while maintaining compliance records in accordance with DCSA standards.
- Understand and facilitate the implementation of federal security regulations relevant to company operations, ensuring the protection of classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Assist in preparing and managing documentation necessary for personnel to obtain appropriate access and badging for government facilities, including VAL, Courier Cards, and SAAR forms.
- Collaborate with government clients on security matters as directed by the FSO or senior management.
- Manage and oversee building access control and security, including the administration of access cards, visitor logs, visit requests, identity verification, and access to sensitive areas.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within the DoD framework.
- Possession of an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Proven experience in facilities management or related functions.
- Familiarity with Facilities Security programs and regulations.
- Demonstrated understanding of general maintenance practices, operational requirements, and safety protocols associated with facilities management.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused self-starter.
- Certification for FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities must be completed within six months of employment.
