Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification of technical, operational, and acquisition factors that may hinder the achievement of Airborne Command and Control (C2) integration objectives. Utilize established methodologies to contribute to plans aimed at realizing an interoperable integrated airborne C2 system.
  • Engage as a member of Air Force High Performance Teams (HPTs) and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), participating in various meetings to define essential C2 and Tactical Data Link (TDL) capabilities.
  • Conduct operational assessments and technical evaluations of both existing and emerging data link concepts and airborne C2 capabilities, focusing on areas such as track management and data transport.
  • Collaborate with the Joint community on Integrated Waveform (IW) and Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) initiatives, ensuring alignment of terminal upgrades with system enhancements.
  • Assist field units in translating operational needs into effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of conceptual systems and prototypes that support a system-of-systems approach for fully network-enabled joint C2 capabilities.
  • Leverage operational expertise to facilitate communication between operational users and product centers/program offices.
  • Support the development of Advanced TDL concepts and requirements, focusing on data sharing between advanced and legacy platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in C2 system program management, including requirements initiation, testing, evaluation, and logistics.
  • Five (5) years of experience in analyzing operational capabilities and limitations for TDL systems.
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing and evaluating policies related to TDL systems and networks.
  • Three (3) years of experience in compliance with DoD systems acquisition laws and practices.
  • Three (3) years of experience in drafting JCIDS requirements documents.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a staff officer role within a high headquarters environment.
  • Experience with operational roles in 5th or 4th generation aircraft is preferred.
  • Experience with satellite communications systems is advantageous.
  • Possession of a required DoD clearance.
