Temple College is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief of Police and Director of Emergency Management to lead our public safety and emergency response efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to ensure the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the campus community.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the campus police department and emergency management team.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential security risks and threats.
  • Develop and manage budgets for public safety and emergency management initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to campus police officers and emergency management personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in public safety and emergency management.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., public administration, emergency management, law enforcement).
  • At least 5 years of experience in law enforcement or emergency management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Current Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
