Job Summary:

As a Site Reliability Engineer at MetroStar Systems, you will play a critical role in driving improvements in observability, performance, and reliability across our high-impact government projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze platform and containerized applications to identify performance and availability risks and issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that optimize platform infrastructure and ensure high scalability and reliability.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistency and efficiency in our platform deployments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance our platform capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer with a strong understanding of SRE principles for highly scalable and reliable systems.
  • Proven experience working in a DevSecOps environment with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools (Rancher, OpenShift, etc.) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • A Bachelor's degree and an active TS//SCI clearance.
