Sonoma State University is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our Department of History as a part-time lecturer. As a member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching lower-division and upper-division GE courses in American history or world history, as well as upper-division elective courses in their area of specialty. You will also be expected to contribute to the academic success of all students and foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must have a strong commitment to teaching at the BA level and the ability to teach GE courses in American history and world history. A PhD is preferred, but applicants who are ABD at the time of appointment will also be considered. You must also be able to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive setting.
