Job Description:
The Associate Process Engineer supports the improvement and implementation of production processes and procedures. This position involves setting up new production systems and analyzing current systems. The successful candidate will take direction and training from other engineers and department managers, working closely with the production floor. The engineer will design, install, and commission new production processes and tools, documenting applications and setting up for future needs. They will also create work instructions and other associated process documentation following documented procedures.

Requirements:
A 2-year degree in engineering is required, along with hands-on mechanical and analytical experience in a lab or production environment. The ideal candidate should be able to manage assigned projects and follow through on process improvement procedures. Knowledge of ceramic and industrial parts processing and properties is preferred, as well as SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma Principles. Intermediate computer skills, including the use of MS Office Suite, are also required. The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with outside vendors and generate presentations for internal customers.

Essential Duties:
The Associate Process Engineer will support, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture of final product. They will oversee the starting, running, and upgrading of manufacturing processes to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality requirements. The engineer will analyze problems and address RCCAAs using intuitive and analytical methods such as 8-D & 5 Why Analyses. They will also network with other department personnel to tackle procedural and quality issues related to the production and delivery of good quality product.
