STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Overview of Job Classification:
Responsible for the effective execution, management, and sustainability of Problem Solving Court (PSC) initiatives. Facilitates onboarding and tailored training for court personnel within their jurisdiction. Oversees multiple programs and supervises the Problem Solving Court Coordinator I team members. Manages program finances and grants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Acts as a project leader, responsible for strategic planning, administrative tasks, and program operations for existing and prospective PSC programs and specialty court initiatives within the judicial district.

2. Plans, executes, and oversees the daily operations of assigned PSC teams, ensuring the court implements key components while serving the designated target populations. Conducts administrative tasks and client outreach.

3. Manages grant initiatives, including leading discussions on grant planning, completing applications, presenting proposals, preparing budgets and justifications, and overseeing awarded grants.

4. Serves as a liaison among the problem-solving court judge, court personnel, probation staff, treatment providers, attorneys, and other members of the problem-solving court team. Maintains collaborative relationships with program stakeholders, including treatment agencies, community organizations, probation services, and other court staff.

5. Provides oversight and leadership to PSC operations team members, leading team meetings, training members, and developing resource materials. Offers performance feedback.

6. Reviews and revises program policies, procedures, contracts, and documentation in compliance with the Colorado Problem Solving Court Standards.

7. Tracks and maintains statistical data for PSC programs, utilizing this data to highlight successes and identify areas for improvement. Prepares programmatic and financial reports for the State Court Administrators Office to allocate Judicial funds for participant services.

8. Performs additional duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONT.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
This role involves supervising and monitoring the performance of a regular group of employees (1 or more full-time employees), including providing input on hiring and disciplinary actions, work objectives, performance evaluations, and realigning work as necessary. The tasks performed by the majority of employees are complex.

Human Collaboration:
Interactions and communications may lead to recommendations regarding policy development and implementation. May also assess customer satisfaction, develop cooperative relationships, and utilize resources to continuously enhance customer satisfaction. These interactions have a significant impact.

Freedom to Act & Impact of Actions:
Receives Limited Direction
Employees typically perform assignments based on their judgment, seeking supervisory assistance only when necessary. Special projects are managed with minimal oversight, and assignments may be reviewed upon completion. Performance is evaluated periodically, and the impact of actions is moderate.

Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced: This role requires advanced skills and extensive knowledge of the work. The incumbent can manage complex tasks and interpret intricate nuances related to job aspects. Recognized by others within the organization for technical depth of knowledge, the likely impact on the organization is comprehensive.

Fiscal Responsibility:
Responsible for financial decisions within the functional area. Ensures appropriate connections exist between budget requests and functional area goals and objectives. Monitors the budget plan and makes adjustments as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Equivalency:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.

OR

Additional work experience in these or other related fields may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.

Work Related Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in social work or a related field.

Licenses and Certifications:
None.

Physical Effort Requirements:
Medium Work - Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work Environment:
Good - Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards.

Work Location:
Office or similar indoor environment; community venues.

Exposures:
Individuals who may be hostile or irate; individuals with known violent backgrounds; communicable diseases; individuals under the influence of controlled substances.
