Job Title: Cocktail Server

As a Cocktail Server at Aspen Skiing Company, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering a world-class experience, and we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our ranks.

Job Summary

The Cocktail Server will be responsible for serving food and beverage in a timely, friendly, and professional manner according to established Forbes 5-star standards and procedures. This includes attending daily pre-meal tastings, ensuring friendly greetings to all guests, taking orders and serving food and beverage requests promptly, and checking with guests during meals for satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a memorable experience
  • Attend daily pre-meal tastings to stay informed about menu offerings and specials
  • Ensure friendly greetings to all guests, setting the tone for a positive experience
  • Take orders and serve food and beverage requests promptly, adhering to established procedures
  • Check with guests during meals for satisfaction, addressing any concerns or issues promptly
  • Responsible for guest checks and proper payment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Have accurate working knowledge of the Micros system, utilizing it to manage orders and inventory
  • Set up stations and tables prior to service, ensuring a clean and organized environment
  • Assist in clearing and setting up tables during service, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware, serving equipment, and service areas
  • Maintain positive communication with service personnel, ensuring a cohesive and supportive team environment
  • Familiar with Colorado liquor laws, ensuring responsible service and adhering to regulations
  • Carry necessary tools to perform job duties, such as crumbers and corkscrews
  • Knowledgeable of 5-star standards, adhering to them in every aspect of operations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5 years related experience required
  • 2 years fine dining experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wines, food, and cooking methods
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on feet for extended periods
  • Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions, with potential for slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
