Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in the registration process for clinical services by gathering essential information, confirming insurance details, and processing payments. This position is integral to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient registration and verify insurance coverage to ensure accuracy of all patient information.
  • Collect necessary signatures from patients or guardians for consent forms and financial responsibilities.
  • Guide patients in completing any required questionnaires.
  • Manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries or directing them appropriately.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Gather and maintain copies of insurance cards, identification, and other relevant documentation.
  • Input and verify complete demographic information to streamline the revenue cycle process.
  • Communicate insurance benefits and patient liabilities effectively.
  • Ensure financial security of patient accounts to optimize hospital reimbursement while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Document all relevant information accurately in the designated fields and account notes.
  • Foster clear and open communication with patients and team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Prioritize patient needs and develop lasting relationships with them.
  • Welcome each patient warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in multitasking within a high-volume setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and exhibit diplomacy.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare registration or admissions role is preferred.

Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is available, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans for eligible employees.
