This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your responsibilities and duties

In this position, you will have the chance to oversee the implementation of smaller projects with manageable complexity. Each day, you will ensure that all associated tasks are carried out in compliance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and objectives. You will also demonstrate your skills by establishing and utilizing basic project scheduling methods to proactively manage schedule risks. The work model for this role is: onsite. This position contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Leading the project team, defining the project execution strategy, and supervising planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to achieve all project objectives.
• Monitoring and managing project progress, optimizing resource use, and overseeing project financials.
• Identifying, assessing, quantifying, and managing project risks while ensuring that all opportunities are recognized and pursued.
• Facilitating the formal acceptance of the project, contract closure, and acknowledgment by the client, all in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications for the position
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • 0-2 years of experience in Electrification, Manufacturing, or Project Management preferred.
  • Familiarity with Project Management principles and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and knowledge in power systems and protection-related issues.
  • Travel is approximately 5%.
  • Experience in navigating the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
  • Candidates must already possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
