Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and medication management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmacokinetic consultation and use laboratory data to evaluate drug selection and dosing.
  • Evaluate patient response to drug therapy and document interventions.
  • Develop and implement pathways, best practices, and guidelines for assigned patient populations.
  • Educate staff, students, patients, and healthcare providers on medication management and patient care.
  • Mentor residents, students, and new staff to meet departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice.
  • Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (3 years related specialty experience accepted in lieu of PGY1 Residency).
  • Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Completion of a PGY2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent may enter isolation rooms and has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
