Job Description

Position Overview:

VirtuSense is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Testing and Quality Assurance Manager to lead our testing and support teams. In this role, you will oversee the quality assurance processes for our AI-driven fall prevention systems, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and safety. You will also manage the engineering support function, providing technical guidance and support to both internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage the Testing and Engineering Support Teams: Provide direction, mentorship, and performance feedback to the testing and engineering support teams.
  • Develop and Implement Comprehensive Testing Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including functional, performance, stress, and regression testing for hardware and software components.
  • Oversee Test Case Development and Execution: Oversee the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated and manual test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of all system aspects.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and customer support, to align testing and support efforts with company objectives.
  • Manage the Engineering Support Function: Manage the engineering support function, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and providing expert guidance to customers and internal teams.
  • Develop and Maintain Testing Environments: Develop and maintain testing environments, including hardware setups, software configurations, and network infrastructure.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products meet regulatory and safety standards, leading efforts to achieve and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Monitor and Report on Testing and Support Metrics: Monitor and report on testing and support metrics, providing insights to senior management on quality trends and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a Culture of Quality: Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and customer focus within the testing and support teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in software and hardware testing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Testing Methodologies and Tools: Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, such as Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Engineering Support Experience: Experience in managing engineering support teams, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
  • Dynamic Environment: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Healthcare Experience: Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or safety-critical systems.
  • AI and Machine Learning: Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or sensor technologies.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for embedded and networked systems.
